Littlehampton Open for Business

Shop sign saying open

Open for Business

On Monday 15 June some of our Town Centre businesses will start reopening after weeks of enforced closure due to Covid-19. Together with  Arun District Council we have been installing signage in the High Street this week to remind shoppers to stay safe.
The Town Centre Regeneration Officer, a post part-funded by us, has been working hard with businesses to help them navigate Government guidelines on how to reopen safely. Businesses that have followed these are entitled to display a 'Covid-19 Secure Poster'.
It is important that we support our local economy during these hard times and bear with our traders as they try and adapt to new ways of working. From Monday there will be a Community Warden in our High Street helping visitors work their way round the new measures, please remember these are there to help you and businesses safe.
Due to their close proximity to queuing hotspots, some benches have been temporarily cordoned off. However, public conveniences and car parks remain open as usual.
We are also pleased to announce that the town centre markets are being relocated as a temporary measure to make social distancing easier to observe.
The Friday General Market will be relocated to St Martin’s car park, commencing on Friday 19 June. The Artisan Market will be relocated to Manor House car park from Saturday 1 August.
