Councillor Freddie Tandy Biography

Freddie is honoured and delighted to have been re-elected as a Town Councillor in the most recent local elections, having served on the Council since 2015. As someone proud to have been born and bred in our town, Freddie hopes to be well placed to represent the realities and ambitions that we all share for our community.

One of Freddie’s biggest areas of interest is the experience and voice of young people, not least because of his ‘day job’ as a teacher and leader at The Littlehampton Academy. Unfortunately, the actions and behaviour of a tiny minority tar all our young people with the same brush, but he knows the vast majority are hard-working, polite and decent, desperately wanting our town to grow and thrive for them.

Freddie believes that there is a need to invest in and improve the vitality of our Town Centre, our fantastic community groups across the town, and the basic infrastructure that we use every day such as highways, footpaths and services. Freddie promises to always use his position as a Councillor to fight for these basic improvements at every opportunity to allow our town to grow and thrive sustainably and safely.
