Design the Mayor's Christmas card and help switch on Littlehampton's Christmas lights
The Mayor of Littlehampton, Councillor Maralyn May, is inviting children aged 4 to 11 to design this year's civic Christmas card.
Each year the Mayor sends a Christmas card to local organisations and to mayors of neighbouring towns. By tradition, the design comes from one of Littlehampton's young residents with the winner being turned into an e-card, saving on printing and postage. This year's theme is 'Snowman in Littlehampton'.
The winner will receive a £50 voucher to spend with The Works. They will also join the Mayor on stage to switch on the town's Christmas lights on Saturday 21 November at 19:00.
Town Mayor, Councillor Maralyn May said: "I'd love to see as many children as possible get out their pencils, pens and paints and take part. There's no right or wrong way to do it. Whether you draw something simple or something full of detail, I'll enjoy looking at every entry. I'm looking forward to seeing how you picture 'Snowman in Littlehampton', what spots of our town you might choose, and to welcoming the winner on stage with me in November."
Entries must include the words "Merry Christmas" and be drawn or painted in bold colours on A4 paper, in landscape or portrait. Each entry needs a completed entry form, which can be downloaded from the Town Council's website or collected from reception at the Manor House, Church Street, Littlehampton. Entries and forms should be returned by 16:30 on Friday 13 November.
