Hundreds of people enjoyed Littlehampton this Easter break with free community events.

On Wednesday 1 April, large crowds enjoyed a wide variety of Easter themed entertainment including magic shows, character meet and greets, puppet shows and children’s rides. Artswork launched the wayfinding trails and asked the children of Littlehampton to suggest names for each character.

Celebrating the community was the focus of the event on Thursday 9 April which saw local groups showcasing their services, entertainment from Elderly Brothers and performances from the Littlehampton Family Endearment Group as well as the Rhythm and Melody Theatre Company. Quieter activities included story time with Littlehampton Library. 

For both event days, Arun Youth Projects hosted activities for teenagers at AYP Connect. 

Speaking about the events, Chair of the Town Council’s Community Resources Committee, Councillor Freddie Tandy, said: “It was amazing to see so many people exploring Littlehampton High Street and getting into all the free activities and entertainment. We thank all of the Littlehampton businesses and local community groups for their involvement in making these events possible.”
