Littlehampton Town Council is bringing back its popular Summer High Street events every Wednesday in August. Head down between 11:00 and 15:00 each week for family friendly fun!

The programme includes skateboarding sessions, craft workshops, a Victorian strongman, fairground rides, library and museum crossovers and children’s shows.

This year’s programme:

• Wednesday 5 August, Victorian day 

Marvel at a strongman, create a bonnet and moustache, try out Victorian outfits (and recipes if you are brave!), follow the historic town trail, visit the Museums exhibition and meet a Victorian policeman.

• Wednesday 12 August, Dragon Day 

Discover a local dragon – the legendary Knucker Dragon – with storytellers, try out making a dragon bath bomb, decorate your own dragon egg and meet Flump and Flip the dragons with their handler Fae.

• Wednesday 19 August, Anime and Street Day 

Come have a go at skateboarding with local legends Board AF or try your hand at graffiti or anime drawing in artist-led workshops. Drop-in for gaming with friends in the gaming van or try out model painting and D&D with local businesses – this week is perfect for older children and teens.

• Wednesday 26 August, Animals Day 

Enjoy stories at the library, come and meet the beekeepers and their bees – learn about local animal charities, follow the Wayfinding trails and watch out for Spiderman!

Speaking about the exciting programme Councillor Freddie Tandy, said: “We are delighted to be working with local businesses, groups and entertainers to bring an exciting programme of events back to the High Street this Summer! Over the last few years, we’ve really prioritised diversifying our offering in the High Street, with these events growing in popularity with both residents and visitors looking for fun activities to do during the school holidays.”
