The Mayor of Littlehampton Councillor Alan Butcher is delighted to announce eleven-year-old Littlehampton resident, Kyra Roberts will be joining him on stage on Saturday 22 November to press the big switch that will turn the Town’s illuminations on.

Kyra has been granted the honour after winning this year’s ‘Design the Mayor’s Christmas Card’ competition with her design of Christmas at landmarks in Littlehampton in a snow globe, featuring the Look and Sea Centre, the Long Bench, lighthouse, and Littlehampton RNLI. She has also won a £50 voucher to spend in a local shop.

Speaking about the competition Town Mayor, Councillor Alan Butcher, said: “I was delighted to see children’s artistic skills especially how colourful the entries were. Choosing a winner was one of the hardest things I have to do as Mayor but Kyra’s design depicting the town’s landmarks was simply stunning. I will be sending it via email to wish a Merry Christmas to all my contacts who I am sure will smile when they see the beautiful drawing.”
