Littlehampton’s largest community event programme announced

Littlehampton Town Council is thrilled to announce the return of the annual Town Show and Family Fun Day, set to take place on Saturday 13 September at Rosemead Park. The event promises an afternoon filled with family entertainment, live stage performances, and a diverse array of high-quality stalls, all for free.

Visitors can look forward to live entertainment from Streetfunk, The Broken Box Band, Jason the one man circus act and an interactive science show. Pet lovers will be thrilled with the beloved free Dog Show, organised by the Littlehampton Dog Training Club, offering prizes in categories like Most Handsome Dog, Prettiest Bitch, Best Veteran, and Best Rescue. No pre-registration is required; simply bring your canine companions and enter the arena on the day.

Children will enjoy a host of exciting activities including science experiments, bubble fun, art workshops, and an interactive Littlehampton Museum stall. Young thrill seekers can enjoy inflatables and rides from Nic and Ben’s Entertainment.

The Horticultural and Craft Show organised by the Town Show Committee promises to please as ever with plenty of exhibits including everything from an array of vegetables and stunning flowers to outstanding skills in the handicraft section.

Make sure you visit the bustling Community Marquee; it will feature over 30 different local charities and organisations offering a range of information about their services as well as the chance to buy a variety of items and win some prizes!

Visitors are invited to relax and refuel in the Food Court with local caterers including, Dal Fuoco Pizza, Bounce About Sussex Ice Cream, Cat Burglar, Happy Go Souvlaki, Holy Guacamole, Simply Hog Roast, Nic and Bens Entertainments and the Littlehampton District Lions Club Beer Tent.

Chair of the Community Resources Committee, Councillor Freddie Tandy, expressed his enthusiasm: “This year’s programme looks set to be a big hit with everyone. I am particularly looking forward to the science show and experiments. Now in its 22nd year, the Town Show and Family Fun Day celebrates the hard-working groups, organisations and the people who make our town such a special place. Don’t forget to visit the Town Council stand to have your say on planned improvements to Rosemead Park.”

Please Note: There is no parking at Rosemead Park. Parking available at Pay and Display Town Centre Car Parks (approx. 5 mins walk). Please park sensibly if using nearby roads, do not obstruct emergency access. There will also be temporary toilets in the park for visitors to use.
