There’s going to be an eggs-plosion of events in Littlehampton during the Easter holiday and you are invited!

Littlehampton Town Council, working with local businesses and organisations, have put on an eggs-cellent programme of free events including the popular Out and About event at Mewsbrook Park on Wednesday 3 April. Between 10:00 and 12:00 families with children aged 5 years to 11 years can try their luck at finding the cheeky bunnies that have got lost in the park. Can you find them and decode the hidden message? Each entry receives a prize – supported by The Works, Littlehampton. This eggs-citing event includes outdoor games and inflatables from Freedom Leisure plus a fun magic show from children’s entertainer Nick Clark. Bring a picnic or enjoy food and refreshments from Mewsbrook Park Café and make sure to visit the playground!

The programme continues in the second week of the school holidays with a Drop-in on Tuesday 9 April by Arun Youth Projects at Creative Heart in Beach Road. Running between 13:00 and 15:00, children aged 5 to 11 years can join in Easter-themed arts and crafts. No need to book!

On Thursday 11 April, children aged 4 years old and older are invited to have a go at clay modelling at Daina’s Art Studio. Put your skills to the test and see what you can build. The free session will run between 11:00 and 15:00, there’s no need to book but children must be accompanied by an adult.

Friday will see Creative Heart running two Easter-themed art sessions for children and their families. The first session will run between 10:00 and 12:00 with the second taking place between 13:00 and 15:00. Both sessions have limited spaces so please book your free ticket on their website (www.creativeheart.org.uk).

The fun will culminate with a free Family Fun Day in the High Street on Saturday 13 April. There will be free rides and face painting, a live performance from August Radio Project (14:15) and shows from Nolan the Magician (12:00 & 13:30). Enjoy 2-hour free disc parking – buy a disc (£3) from selected outlets or purchase it online via the District Council’s website.

Councillor Sean Lee, Chair of the Community Resources Committee said: “Don’t miss out on the Easter Out and About session at the award-winning Mewsbrook Park. I am sure you have the detective skills needed to find the bunnies and decode the message – don’t forget to collect your prize at the end!”

“Bringing a programme of free Easter activities to the Town Centre supports businesses and helps residents enjoy what’s on their doorstep without the cost associated with entertaining children in the school holidays” added Councillor Alan Butcher, Chair of the Policy and Finance Committee.
