RSPCA Littlehampton Crowned Winner of the Coronation Competition

The Mayor and the winner of the Kings Coronation Shop Window competition

To celebrate the King's Coronation, Littlehampton Town Council encouraged shops and businesses in Littlehampton to decorate their windows, making them fit for a King!

Dressing their windows in red, white, and blue, the shops put on their best display to be in with the chance of winning a cash prize for their chosen charity. The Mayor of Littlehampton, Councillor Jill Long shortlisted her three favourite windows before the public vote picked a winner.

Winning the competition with their colourful display was RSPCA, taking away £100 for Mount Noddy Animal Centre.

The second-place prize of £50 was awarded to Creative Heart, for their display of handmade art crafted by local children in their art sessions, the money will go towards the community hub. In third place was Crafter’s Corner with their display of artisan pieces beautifully crafted to celebrate the coronation – they have kindly given the £25 prize money to Creative Heart.

Speaking about the initiative, Town Mayor Councillor Jill Long, said: “It was great seeing local businesses getting creative and involved in celebrating the Coronation. I am pleased that the funds will go to great local causes. Thank you to all those that entered and voted.”
