Wick Information Centre Relocation

The Wick Information Centre is moving to a new home with revised opening hours. Having been running in Wick for over 22 years, the Centre had to move out of its previous Portacabin in front of Wick Hall due to it no longer being financially viable. However, Littlehampton Town Council and All Saints Church have worked together to find a way to maintain the majority of services provided by the Centre, which will now be located in the Garden Room next to All Saints Church. Flat and accessible entrance is on Beaconsfield Road, opposite Lyminster School.

On Tuesday and Thursday mornings, from 9am until 12.30pm, residents traders and visitors to Wick can continue to find information, be signposted to relevant services, access low cost printing and copying and come in for refreshments.

Tom Robson, Chair of the Wick Information Centre Committee said, ‘we were very sad to say goodbye to the previous home of the Centre and even more so to Julie Roby the previous manager. Our hope is to continue with as much of what the Information Centre offers, on a financial basis that is sustainable for the long term.’

Littlehampton Town Council has agreed an increase in its financial support to the Centre through a new Service Funding Agreement for the next three years. Councillor Billy Blanchard-Cooper, Chair of the Community Resources Committee said “ The Wick Information Centre is a vital resource for local people. The Town Council is pleased to be working with All Saints Church to ensure it can continue”.

The Wick Information Centre reopens in All Saints Church - Garden Room by the end of February. Further information is available online at: www.allsaintswick.org.uk/WickInfoCentre
