This year the Littlehampton Town Show and Family Fun Day is going virtual! Due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and following government advice on social distancing, we were unable to welcome you all into Rosemead Park for a day of family fun.

Instead, we are encouraging people to visit the Visit Littlehampton Facebook page on Saturday 12th September from 10am for a day of fun activities that all the family can take part in. Kicking off the day is a quiz from Arun Youth Projects giving you a chance to test your general knowledge. This will be followed by an arts and crafts session which includes the launch of Littlehampton Organisation of Community Art’s new Littlehampton Community Activity Book which will be available to download on the Visit Littlehampton Facebook page on the day.

Throughout the day you can also take part in a circus skills session with the brilliant Poi Passion, a baking demonstration with Helen from Free Cakes for Kids, Storytime with West Sussex Libraries and you can draw your own postcard with the Littlehampton Museum team. Getting everyone in a feel good mood and closing the virtual event will a performance from the talented Murdoch’s Crazy Eyes who previously headlined the event in 2014. Throughout the week, local organisations and charities have also been highlighted on the Visit Littlehampton Instagram page and Town Council Facebook page as part of the Virtual Community Marquee which is usually a large focal point of the event.

the results of the Town Show Committee competitions which have been running on their Facebook page for the past month will also be announced. The four virtual competitions have given the community a chance to show off their creations during our time in Lockdown.

When speaking of the virtual event Chair of the Community Resources Committee Councillor Billy Blanchard-Cooper said: “The Town Show and Family Fun Day is one of the biggest community events in Littlehampton and it is brilliant that we can still run the event online this year. It is lovely to see local groups involved in the day by helping to run activities for the community to take part in. It looks like it will be an extremely fun day for families to join in with.”
