For the first time ever on Saturday 15th August Littlehampton Town Council organised a free virtual quiz to celebrate what would have been the seventh instalment of our fantastic Screen on the Green event. Due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and following government advice on social distancing, we were unable to welcome you all onto East Green as normal to watch a blockbuster film. Instead, quizzers knowledge was tested on the following categories: one-word movie titles, movie villains, scrambled film titles, movie quotes, Screen on the Green and Littlehampton.

The quiz was published on the Visit Littlehampton Facebook page at 7pm on Saturday evening and was hosted by quizmaster and Chair of the Community Resources Committee, Councillor Billy Blanchard-Cooper. Speaking about the quiz, Councillor Blanchard-Cooper said “It was incredibly sad that we had to cancel the event this year but by creating this quiz it meant we could still give you all something to enjoy and it was great fun to create. I hope you all enjoyed the evening and my bloopers!”

Throughout the quiz, the public saw three different outfit changes made by the host who also brought along some props from home to add to the entertainment. The quiz attracted 12 entries. Prizes were awarded to the winning team and two runner ups, who each had a wonderful hamper full of treats delivered to their door for the whole family to enjoy. We thank everyone for taking part in the quiz and look forward to welcoming you all back to East Green next year.
