Littlehampton has a new Mayor

Councillor David Chace, who represents the Brookfield Ward, became First Citizen following the first-ever remote Annual Meeting of Littlehampton Town Council on the 14th May 2020. Councillor David Chace succeeds Councillor Tracey Baker.

Speaking at the Annual Meeting of the Council, the new Mayor said “It is a great honour and I am truly humbled to be elected by my fellow Town Councillors to be our Town Mayor and I would like to thank them for entrusting me with the position of Mayor of our wonderful Town. I have had a fantastic year as Deputy Mayor, and I am looking forward to the challenges of being your Mayor for the next year supported by this Council and my wife Sharon as my Consort.”

The Mayor added “I am looking forward to working with everyone and the Mayor’s Charity will be raising funds for the Creative Heart Community Hub, Sea Cadets Littlehampton the 1087 Squadron Air Training Corps and 4th Littlehampton Scouts.”

The Mayor’s fellow Liberal Democrat Councillor Michelle Molloy will become Deputy Mayor for the next 12 months and Mayor Elect.
