Thousands of people descended on Littlehampton seafront green for a night of outstanding entertainment and to watch hit 2007 musical Hairspray under the stars. The free event, organised by Littlehampton Town Council, now in its 6th year was supported by Mortgage Advice Bureau-Chichester.

The event was extended this year to include ‘warm-up’ entertainment with crowds being treated to live performances at the Stage by the Sea from singers Aaron Lowe and Morgan M James as well as Nathan-The Ultimate Gary Barlow Tribute Act, Marvin Ford and Magician Matt Parro on West Green. After the sun had set the Mayor of Littlehampton Councillor Tracey Baker officially opened the event ready for the film to begin!

Whilst enjoying Marvin Ford’s performance the audience formed an impressive Conga line which without a doubt helped keep the windchill away on what was more like an Autumn evening than Summer.

Town Mayor Councillor Tracey Baker said: “I would like to thank everyone that came along to support the event on Saturday and for contributing to a fantastic evening and the generous donations to my charities. Thank you to Tyndall Jones for collecting £348.80 for the RNLI and the Firefighters Charity.”
