Win VIP status at the big switch-on event!
Back by popular demand, Littlehampton Town Council is building on last year’s fun and interactive Christmas illuminations by adding a new elf to the family. The elves will once again be projected onto Town Centre buildings and will be visible after the big switch on event on Friday 22nd November.
An elf with no name has joined the crew and the Town Council is offering a very special prize to the person who makes the most suitable suggestion.
Youngsters are being invited to come up with a name that suits the mythical miss from a magical land by entering a competition
The competition, sponsored by Sussex by the Sea, will run from 1st to 17th November, entrants must be under 16 and available at 7pm on the 22nd November. The winner will then receive a VIP invite to assist the Mayor in switching on this year's Christmas lights as well as 4 tickets (2 adults and 2 children) for the Windmill Cinema!
Speaking about the Town Council’s initiative, Councillor Billy Blanchard-Cooper, Chair of the Community Resources Committee said: “Bringing these interactive illuminations into the Town really helps to spread the festive cheer. Christmas is a wonderful time of year and its brilliant that a resident of the town gets a chance to turn on the Christmas lights! So, get creative and suggest a new name for our new magical elf!”
Sussex artist Steve Carroll has once again created the elf and everyone is encouraged to take an ‘elfie selfie’ with their favourite elf, sharing their snaps on social media with #LAelfie.
Entries can be made here before Sunday 17th November.
