Armed Forces Day 2021

AFD Logo 2021

Saturday 26th June marks Armed Forces Day, a day to show support to the men and women who make up the Armed Forces. Due to the ongoing Coronavirus emergency and following consequent Government guidance, we have decided to cancel our Armed Forces Day event. It is right and proper that people should be kept safe and healthy. Although we may not be able to celebrate Armed Forces Day like we usually do, there are still plenty of ways you can get involved from the comfort of your own home.

How you can get involved

The Town Mayor, Councillor Michelle Molloy will open the virtual event at 10.30am on the Littlehampton Town Council Facebook page with her welcome speech. Following at 10.50am, Reverend Martin Seymour of Littlehampton Baptist Church will conduct an Armed Forces Day service.

Pay tribute to the British Armed Forces community at home by uploading a photo or video of yourself or your friends saluting on social media and use the hashtag #SaluteOurForces

Join in with Armed Forces Day and get creative by making your own flags, bunting, hand-wavers, or banners! Use the red, white and blue colour scheme and search Armed Forces Day Flag online to find inspiration.

The Armed Forces Day  Facebook page will have exclusive content throughout the day. They will be taking you behind the scenes, running Q&A's and live events.

Visit the Littlehampton Town Council Facebook page to engage with content throughout the day. We will be publishing content about our fantastic local uniformed groups and the Littlehampton Museum.

Engage in plenty of Armed Forces themed content courtesy of the Littlehampton Museum team. Visit the Museum website for more information.
