Saturday 27th June marks Armed Forces Day, a day to show support to the men and women who make up the Armed Forces. Due to the Coronavirus emergency and consequent Government guidance, we have had to cancel our Armed Forces Day event. It is right and proper that people should be kept safe and healthy. Although we may not be able to celebrate Armed Forces Day like we usually do, there are still plenty of ways you can get involved from the comfort of your own home.
How you can get involved
At 11am on both the Littlehampton Town Council and Visit Littlehampton Facebook page there will be a service from Reverend Martin Seymour from Littlehampton Baptist Church. There will also be a photographic slideshow posted at 2pm which will take us back in time and look through the previous years events.
Pay tribute to the British Armed Forces community at home by uploading a photo or video of yourself or your friends saluting on social media and use the hashtag #SaluteOurForces
Join in with Armed Forces Day and get creative by making your own flags, bunting, hand-wavers, or banners! Use the red, white and blue colour scheme and search Armed Forces Day Flag online to find inspiration.
The Armed Forces Day Facebook page will have exclusive content being published from Monday 22nd June throughout the week until Armed Forces Day itself. They will be taking you behind the scenes, running Q&A's and live events.
