Town Council Events

The Town Council organises a varied range of community events throughout the year. We aim to provide residents and visitors with an opportunity to have fun and relax at a wide range of activities for all ages, and most of the events are free of charge, so stay tuned to this page to find out what's coming up in our town.

In addition to events organised by the Town Council, there are many other events organised by Littlehampton Museum and other organisations including events at Southfields Jubilee Centre. For Museum events visit their website.

Saturday 14th

Charity Pancake OlympicsLittlehampton High Street 11am – 1pm

Local groups of all ages compete in pancake themed events to raise money for their chosen charities and win the prestigious gold, silver and bronze frying pans.  The Gold team will whisk £100 for their chosen charity courtesy of Titan Self Storage. The Silver team will receive £50 for their charity courtesy ofLeaders Estate Agents and the Bronze team will receive £25 courtesy of the Fish Factory.

Easter Out & About

Mewsbrook Park: Wednesday 1st  10am – 12pm

Brookfield Park: Wednesday 8th 10am – 12pm

Come and join us for a lark in the park during the Easter Holidays! A range of children’s activities and games including a bouncy castle, drawing, relay games and a bunny hunt will be on offer.

Boat Jumble

Caffyns Field

Buying a boat, chandlery or fishing tackle? Then why not visit this event and grab a fantastic bargain. Alternatively book a stand and sell your unwanted marine items.

Armed Forces Day Celebrations

Littlehampton Seafront 10.30am – 5pm

An action packed day to celebrate and honour those that serve and have served in the Armed Forces. Lots of fun activities for all the family including an aerial display, arena shows, themed exhibits, demonstrations and much more!

 

July

Saturday 11th

Littlehampton Carnival – Various locations throughout town.

This year is the Carnival association’s 40th birthday and the theme is ‘Let’s Party!’ Watch the town celebrate in style with a vibrant, fun filled procession of colourful floats, bands and performers. Other activities include a fun fair. For more details visit the organiser's website.

Littlehampton Arts Week

Festival launch event on the 18th, followed by a weeklong of arts activities including an Arts Trail brought to you by LOCA (Littlehampton Organisation of Cotemporary Arts).

 

Monday 27th July – Friday 31st

Wick Week – Various locations throughout WickA week long community festival packed with activities for all ages. Have a go at archery, get creative, join in a Bingo game, enter Wick’s got Talent and come along to the Family Film night. There is something for everyone.

Thursday 6th

Sandcastle Competition

 

Stage by the Sea – Registration at 11 for 12pm start.

Join the Town Council and Spirit FM for this popular seaside event where buckets of imagination and sand will put you on the right path to become a winner. Participants will receive a courtesy bucket (no spade) and will compete in their age category (under 5s, under 11s and over 11s), only natural and biodegradable resources can be used. Prizes include money off vouchers for local attractions.

Town Show and Family Fun Day

Rosemead Open Space 12pm – 5pm

A great day out for all the family. Live performances, a horticultural show, community stalls, children’s activities, arena performances and a pet farm all in one space!

Saturday 31st

Littlehampton Bonfire Society Celebrations

Various locations around town

One of the largest and most spectacular Bonfire celebrations on the South Coast. Watch the procession of torch carriers and illuminated floats then make your way to the seafront for the huge bonfire and fantastic firework display. For more details visit the organiser's website.

Remembrance Sunday

High Street and War Memorial. Marching of local uniformed groups and veterans with a service at the War Memorial.

 

Friday 27th

Christmas Lights Switch on & Late Night Shopping

Join us as we kickstart the festive season with our annual light switch on. The High Street will be buzzing with activities for kids, choirs and outdoor stalls.
