Town Council Events

The Town Council organises a varied range of community events throughout the year. We aim to provide residents and visitors with an opportunity to have fun and relax at a wide range of activities for all ages, and most of the events are free of charge, so stay tuned to this page to find out what's coming up in our town.

Easter Out & About

Mewsbrook Park: Wednesday 9th  10am – 12pm

Brookfield Park: Wednesday 16th  10am – 12pm  

Come and join us for a lark in the park during the Easter Holidays! A range of children’s activities and games including a bouncy castle, drawing, relay games and a bunny hunt will be on offer.  The sessions are suitable for children aged 3 - 11 years old.

Sunday 15th _ Boat Jumble, Caffyns Field

Saturday 28th _ Armed Forces Day Celebrations

Littlehampton Seafront 10.30am – 5pm

An action packed day to celebrate and honour those that serve and have served in the Armed Forces. Lots of fun activities for all the family including arena shows, themed exhibits, demonstrations and much more!

Saturday 12th Littlehampton Carnival – Various locations throughout town.

This year is the Carnival association’s 40th birthday and the theme is ‘Let’s Party!’ Watch the town celebrate in style with a vibrant, fun filled procession of colourful floats, bands and performers. Monday 28th July – Saturday 2nd August:  Wick Week – Various locations throughout Wick

Wick Week Cafe

Launch Party: Saturday 26th  A week long community festival packed with activities for all ages. Have a go at archery, get creative, join in a Bingo game, enter Wick’s got Talent and come along to the Family Film night. There is something for everyone.

 

August

Monday 4th - Sandcastle Competition

Join the Town Council and Spirit FM for this popular seaside event where buckets of imagination and sand will put you on the right path to become a winner. Participants will receive a courtesy bucket (no spade) and will compete in their age category (under 5s, under 11s and over 11s), only natural and biodegradable resources can be used. Prizes include ride tickets and money off vouchers for local attractions.

Monday 18th – Friday 22nd SPACE Week

A weeklong festival of free sports and arts session for 8-14 yr olds living in the BN17 post code area. There will be lots to do including tennis, badminton, football and art sessions.

Saturday 13th Town Show and Family Fun Day

Rosemead Park 12pm – 5pm

A great day out for all the family. Live performances, a horticultural show, community stalls, children’s activities, arena performances and a pet farm all in one space! Local voluntary groups and organisations that deliver services in Littlehampton can have a free pitch at the event. Bookings are now being taken and will close on the 30th May. Saturday 25th Littlehampton Bonfire Society Celebrations

One of the largest and most spectacular Bonfire celebrations on the South Coast. Watch the procession of torch carriers and illuminated floats then make your way to the seafront for the huge bonfire and fantastic firework display.

Friday 28th Christmas Lights Switch on & Late night Shopping

Join us as we kickstart the festive season with our annual light switch on. The High Street will be buzzing with activities for kids, choirs and outdoor stalls.
