Screen on the Green- We Need Your Vote!

We Need Your Vote!

The Town Council’s Screen on the Green returns to Littlehampton Seafront this August and for the first time ever we are offering you two evenings of outdoor cinema fun! Moviegoers are invited to East Green on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th August and Littlehampton Town Council need your help to choose the films! Last year we had a great turnout to watch the Goonies, but what will you choose this year?

Friday night is musicals night and we’re taking you through the decades. Your options are: 70’s classic, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory; 90’s favourite, The Lion King or 2017 box office success, The Greatest Showman.

On Saturday we invite you to join us for an evening of Fantasy Adventure but what will you pick? Will it be cult classic, Back to the Future, the 2016 live action adaptation, The Jungle Book or 2017 sequel, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle?

This year we will yet again be showing the movies on a giant 40ft inflatable screen with a super audio system to accommodate the growing attendance.

The Chair of the Community Resources Committee, Cllr Ian Buckland said: “I am delighted that Screen on the Green is back for its fifth year and that we can give the public the opportunity to vote for the movies to be shown at this fabulous event. We have put forward a variety of films both old and new to appeal to as many of you as possible. Please make sure you cast your vote by the 3rd April.”

The films with the most votes will be revealed in the Summer edition of Progress. The event is free and tickets are not required.
