A dedicated Littlehampton regeneration officer will be appointed to work with Arun District Council, the town and the traders.

The new full time post will be funded for four and a half years.

Pay: £32,216 to £34,549 per annum
Hours: 37 per week
Closing date: 11 Mar 2013

Anthony Everitt, Arun’s Senior Economic Development Officer, said: “The Littlehampton Regeneration Officer will help to deliver improvements to Littlehampton Town Centre to make sure it remains an attractive place to visit and shop which is increasingly important with out of town retail and online retail options.”

Funding for the post will come from a Section 106 agreement with Sainsbury’s for its Rustington store development.

Simon Vickers, Chairman of Littlehampton Traders Partnership, said: “We welcome the creation of this new post and the opportunity for traders and the town centre to be involved in the exciting new regeneration plans.”
