Gardens & Allotments Competition in partnership with Ferring Nurseries
Criteria and prizes: Nominees must reside within the BN17 postcode. Prizes will be awarded in several categories, including best communal garden. Commercial premises and allotment holders are also eligible to enter in specific categories. Winners who won first place for two consecutive years must have a break for one year before entering again. A prize for the best new entrant is sponsored by Going Spare. The closing date is 29 June 2015.
Spokesperson for the Town Council said: “this long-established competition has grown in popularity throughout the years which demonstrates that we have many keen gardeners of all ages and abilities in our Town. We are really keen to see a few more entries in the commercial category so if you’re a local business and have a garden, courtyard or wall for hanging baskets, get involved.”
Winners of each category will receive vouchers from principal sponsor, Ferring Nurseries.

Forms are also available from the Town Council offices at the Manor House, Church Street, and from Ferring Nurseries, Littlehampton Road, Worthing.

- Front garden – this includes patios, containers and terraces
- Back garden
- Communal garden
- Commercial/industrial frontages
- Tallest sunflower (must be at least 1 metre tall before submitting an entry form) – sponsored by F A Holland & Son
- Best new entrant – sponsored by Going Spare
- Best Infant/Junior School - Sponsored by Ferring Nurseries
- Best allotment*
- Best NEW allotment*
*Allotments are automatically entered into the competition
