STREET SCENE ENHANCEMENT SCHEME 
Improving the street scene, particularly through removing flytipping and graffiti is a highly visual way of improving the town. The scheme involves the County, District and Town Council working together to deliver services that people want, representing excellent value for money.

To report fly tipping and graffiti that affects the environment in which we live contact the Arun reporting Line on 01903 737870. Emails can be sent via 
antisocial.behaviour@arun.gov.uk 

REFUSE & RECYCLING
For problems with refuse and recycling collections and street cleansing issues contact Arun District Council on 01903 737754 or go to www.arun.gov.uk 

Arun residents wishing to dispose of bulky waste should call Verdant on 01903 734520. The cost of collection varies according to the size of the article.

STREET LIGHTING
Report faulty street lights, illuminated signs or bollards on 0845 758 1622 or scs.solve@edfenergy.com or contact WSCC on 01243 642105 or by going to the West Sussex County Council web site.  Please let them know of any malfunctioning or damaged lighting. You can also request new street lights using the online form.

HIGHWAYS
Highway faults, including pot holes, footway trips, flooding, traffic signals, overgrown vegetation etc can all be reported on 01243 642105 or by using the online form at the West Sussex County Council web site.

PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY

hese include footpaths, bridleways, roads used as public paths (RUPPs) and byways open to all traffic (BOATs) - can all be reported on 01243 777620 or using the online form at the West Sussex County Council web site.

OPERATION CRACKDOWN
Op_Crackdown_logoOperation Crackdown aims to provide increased safety and security for our neighbourhoods and on our roads. Abandoned vehicles, reckless driving, untaxed vehicles and those in an un-roadworthy condition can all now be reported. If you witness someone driving in an anti-social manner, or you notice a vehicle that you think may be abandoned you should:  
Pull over safely at the side of the road, or else ask a passenger to write down details, including vehicle make, colour and number plate. 
When noting the location, use house numbers or shop name and road names.

Operation Crackdown is a multi-agency partnership between Sussex Police, West Sussex County CouncilBrighton and Hove City Council, all West and East Sussex district local authorities, Sussex Fire and Rescue Services, Crime and Disorder Reduction partnerships the DVLA and members of the public., ).

SAFER ROADS
The Sussex Safer Roads website http://www.sussexsaferroads.gov.uk/  has all the details/locations of the safety cameras and mobile speed cameras within Sussex. There is also up to date information on road safety related issues, road improvement works and events/shows in and around Sussex.

SSRPThe  Sussex Safer Roads Partnership (the SSRP), is funded by a central Government grant to the three local highway authorities (West and East Sussex County Councils, Brighton and Hove City Council). Other partners in the SSRP are Sussex Police, the Highways Agency, the Surrey and Sussex Courts Service together with the Fire and Rescue Services from each side of Sussex
