Museum Re-Launch
23rd January 2010
The doors to Littlehampton Museum temporarily closed this January for an exciting refurbishment of the galleries. New interactive elements to the permanent displays such as audio points, LCD visual displays, audio sound bites and a top spec touch screen were added to the the displays.

As well as all of this, many of the items on display were changed, with a greater range of fascinating items from the collection now on show. New displays include a magical minerals collection, a step back in time to the Middle Ages, a ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’, and a brand new ‘Littlehampton at War’ exhibit. The Museum re-opened to the public on Saturday 23rd January, with a ceremonial ‘cutting of the ribbon’ at 11am, with visitors invited to explore the new and improved galleries at their leisure.

A children’s event was held from 2-4pm at the Museum, where families dropped in to help create a mural to commemorate the re-launch, which is to be mounted in the permanent galleries.
